Moldovan legal entities using state's name to have to pay 100,000 lei

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The legal entities due to use, on purpose of work, the name, abbreviations or derivatives of the official or historical name of the state will have to pay a sum of 100,000 lei, according to a legislative amendment approved at a cabinet meeting today.
Under the document, in exchange for the tax, the legal entity will receive a permit for the use of the state’s name in the title of the entity.
At the same time, the permit will be offered till the change of the name or liquidation of the legal entity.
Also, the legal entity, which permit for the use of the state’s official name was withdrawn, is obliged to change its title in a 30-day period from the date of reception of the decision on the permit’s withdrawal.
The provision enters into force one month after its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
