Moldovan policemen to receive 25 per cent of sums of fines imposed

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The employees of the Interior Ministry’s General Police Inspectorate (IGP) will quarterly benefit from 25 per cent of the sums of the fines imposed and collected in the state budget, under a decision approved at a today’s cabinet meeting.
According to the document, the money will be distributed from the IGP budget.
Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan said that “the draft’s goal is to strengthen and optimize the capacities of preventing and fighting corruption, enhance the citizens’ trust in policemen, as well as to financially stimulate the employees.”
Also today, the government approved a regulation providing for the procedure of the financial stimulation of policemen.
