Famous Moldovan composer celebrates anniversary in Parliament

Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – Master Eugen Doga accepted the invitation of Speaker Andrian Candu and celebrated the 80th anniversary in Moldovan Parliament today. The event was attended by MPs, academicians, ministers, diplomats, men of culture and arts who came to pay homage to the great composer, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
In the congratulatory message, Speaker Andrian Candu said it was an honor for Legislative to be with the master on that day. "Many generations of young people around the world lived romance in your music. It is wonderful to know that many generations will live in the rhythm of splendid love music created by composer Eugen Doga".
The speaker said that he would like to call the master the greatest composer of Moldova, and it would be more than true. "Works of Eugen Doga, long before the Agreement on free movement, had surrounded and conquered the entire world. Yet our abide not only by birth, but by works that highlighted all our best and most beautiful in this country. You are the man who put notes on our soul, our identity that you deciphered until today we did not realize to define in words," said Andrian Candu.
At the same time, the Speaker said that there today we were more united than ever. "We joined undeniable talent, this splendid music and exuberant energy you exude. You are awesome! Moldova needs your spirit more than ever! Good health and a lot of inspiration, Master! We all admire you and invite you here next year to celebrate together. A tradition that brings us together," said Andrian Candu.
The congratulatory messages addressed Culture Minister Monica Babuc, president of the Academy of Sciences, Gheorghe Duca and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, Farit Muhametsin who read the message signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of composer Eugen Doga.
At his turn, Master Eugen Doga thanked all those present for beautiful feast. "I always wear Casa Mare (Guest room) in the soul as national element and the Parliament today shows that a big and open house. However, I am very pleased of all this and of my achievements too. I wish you all even a fraction of the joys of my life," the composer said.
The celebration was complemented by an exhibition of photographs and posters from the personal collection of master and archive Academy of Sciences. Music signed by Eugen Doga rang in interpreting of children of Music School "Eugen Doga", Music High School "Ciprian Porumbescu", choir "Vocile Primaverii" (Voices of Spring), folk ensemble of lyceum "Spiru Haret" and the quartet of Radio Moldova.
The program culminated with a recital of the master Eugen Doga and performer Vasile Iovu. At the same time, the guests received one composer’s CD of "Cascada Viselor" (Waterfall of Dreams), maestro offered in partnership with TVR Moldova. Also, those present had the opportunity to take pictures and request autographs of the famous composer.
The surprise celebration cake was shaped like a miniature piano and offered to the celebrated one by Speaker Adrian Candu.
The event was organized in partnership with the Academy of Sciences and Culture Ministry.
