Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- Parents caring for children with special needs or oncological diseases will benefit from medical leave until they turn 18 years old, according to a government decision which will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 3 March.
Amendment aims at ensuring social protection of children with oncological diseases and special needs. So far, medical certificates were issued until the age of 16.
Also, women who give birth prematurely will have 14 days additionally to maternity leave.
At the same time, pregnant women with triplets or quadruplets will have maternity leave to 24 weeks of pregnancy term for a period of 182 calendar days.
The document enters into force on its publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
