Moldovan PM conveys condolences to relatives of victims of mine explosion in Ukraine

Chisinau, 02 March /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman today, in connection with the blast at extraction of coal mine in Mihailo locality, Lvov region, which resulted in loss of human lives and injured people, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

"I learnt with deep sorrow about Lvov tragedy. On behalf of the Moldovan Government, we express our feelings of sympathy and solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult moments. Please, convey sincere condolences to families and loved of victims and soon recovery to those who were injured," reads the message signed by Pavel Filip.

According to the latest information, 11 people died in a mine in Lvov region, Ukraine, following an explosion caused by a gas leak. The fate of 20 miners is still unknown. There were 172 persons in mine, at the time of the explosion.
