Moldovan electoral body invites Diaspora citizens to become election employees

Chisinau, 03 March /MOLDPRES/ – The Central Election Commission (CEC) invited Moldovan citizens voting abroad to actively engage in the electoral process in Moldova and become election employees. CEC Chairman, Alina Russu, launched the appeal today, at the tabulation and evaluation conference of Programme "Voters abroad: Conclusions and Recommendations".

According to the Central Election Commission’s (CEC) press service, by launching this platform for communication and cooperation with Diaspora, CEC wants to maintain a continuous dialogue with Moldovan citizens voting abroad and get a more active involvement of those ones into decision – making process in Moldova, referred to organization of elections. For this purpose, it is necessary to identify persons who would like to become members of electoral bodies which, together with colleagues from the Foreign Ministry, might manage and work under best conditions functioning of polling stations situated abroad.

The interested candidates should send a message to [email protected] or CEC’s social networks, indicating his contact information (phone, e – mail), also the country and city of residence. Subsequently, citizens will be trained remotely via e – learning platform of the Centre for Continuing Education in elections under CEC.
