Moldovan speaker to pay working visit to Germany

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu will pay a working visit to Germany on 7-9 March to meet President of the German Bundestag, Professor Norbert Lammert, officials and German federal government, diaspora and potential investors, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Candu will present the country’s priorities on European integration, reform implementation, as well as opportunities offered by Moldova for investors.
The speaker will have a meeting with diaspora. He will talk to fellow countrymen about the political and economic situation in the country and the need to continue policies and reforms for European integration, which means decent living conditions, security, opportunities to create new jobs, as well as quality social protection. Also, they will tackle the shortcomings of the electoral legislation and diaspora will be consulted on tolls that would allow all Moldovans to express their right to vote.
The visit’s agenda also includes talks with Vice-President of the German Bundestag Ulla Schmidt, head of parliamentary committee on European Affairs, representatives of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and Minister of State for European Affairs.
The agenda includes a meeting with representatives of German companies, organized by the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations (Ost-Ausschuss), as well as with representatives of German-Moldovan Forum and Friedrich-Elbert Foundation in Berlin.
