Moldovan, Romanian officials discuss reforms, cooperation

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South European Cooperation Process (SEECP), held in Zagreb, Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari had a meeting with Romanian State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry George Ciamba, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
The talks were focused on development of bilateral cooperation in the various areas and implementation of Moldova’s European agenda, especially, in terms of organizing Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017.
Morari appreciated Romania’s role in supporting the country’s European integration and transfer of experience in the areas related to the dialogue with EU. It was agreed to organize next period a meeting of the Moldovan-Romanian joint commission on European integration, as well as a meeting of Group for European Action of Moldova (so-called “Friends of Moldova”).
George Ciamba noted the progress made by Moldova in promoting reforms and dialogue with European Union, and assured of firm support in the country’s European path, including by providing Romanian expertise in adjusting to European standards and requirements in line with the provisions of the bilateral Strategic Partnership for European integration.
