Moldova might become supplier for German enterprises

Chisinau, 7 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova might become supplier for German enterprises following the implementation of a new project of the Ost-Ausschuss Committee on Eastern Economic European Relations. The project, along with other investment offers, were discussed at a meeting between Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu and representatives of German companies in Germany today, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Potential investors showed interest in Moldova’s offer. The sides discussed more projects in the IT sector, agricultural technology, production of helicopters and related technologies, renewable energy, banking services, crediting, information security, food industry, etc.
At the same time, the representatives of the companies already working in Moldova, the director for Eastern Europe and international affairs at the Metro group Ivonne Julitta Bolow and the deputy head of the Draxlmaier group, Karl Heinz Eckert, showed satisfaction with the conditions of activity in Moldova. At the same time, they claimed the lack of qualified staff in the country. The sides discussed solutions to developing the sectoral education and stimulating young people’s interest in deficit professions from Moldova. The investors highlighted the need to keep political stability, as well as to continue cleaning the banking sector and its good work in continuation.
Attending the meeting were the executive director of the Ost-Ausschuss Committee on Eastern Economic European Relations, Michael Harms, representatives of the leadership of the Metro group, TERQUA SRL (LTD), Kaufland Stiftung&Co.KG, willing to enter Moldova next year, as well as Uwe Kuhnle, executive director of Durion GmbH, a company producing renewable energy. Representatives of the Draxlmaier group informed about the extension and, respectively, the creation of new jobs in Moldova, and the deputy head of the Airbus group, Jacques Garrigue, said he was set to bring new technologies, helicopters for SMURD (Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication). A representative of the CLAAS Global Sales GmbH referred to agricultural equipment and extension of the presence in Moldova’s, while a representative of Messer Group GmbH spoke about investments in the food industry.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu is on a 7-9 March working visit to Germany. Candu will also have meetings with his German counterpart, representatives of the German Bundestag and federal government.
