PM asks authorities for maximum mobilization in preparation for EU-Moldova Association Council meeting

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/- Achievements recorded by the Moldovan authorities in implementing the EU-Moldovan Association Agreement and actions due to be taken before the meeting of the EU-Moldova Association Council were discussed at a meeting of the governmental commission for European integration, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Preparation for the Association Council includes elaboration of a report on implementing the Association Agenda in 2014-2016. In the context, the Prime Minister Pavel Filip asked authorities to show maximum mobilization in preparing for the council’s meeting.
At the same time, the participants in the event discussed the developments recorded in promoting the law on integrity, which had been already voted in the first reading by parliament and it due to be adopted in the final reading by late March. There is approval on this draft law from European experts. Also, the cabinet members were informed that the parliament was to consider a draft law on preventing and combating money laundering and terrorism financing, National Strategy on Integrity and Anticorruption 2017-2020, as well as draft law on creating criminal asset recovery agency.
