Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Termoelectrica stock company has presented a demand on a six-per cent increase in the tariff for thermal energy at public hearings, organized by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today.
Termoelectrica demands an increase in the tariff from 1,068.22 lei to 1,132.2 lei for one Gcal, as a result of the increase of the technical indicators included in the production plan for this year, updated forecast of the macroeconomic indexes for 2017-2019, retail prices index, dollar’s exchange rate and increase in the tariffs for electric energy, demanded by GAS Natural Fenosa, the Termoelectrica director-general, Veaceslav Eni, said at the meeting.
Eni noted that, in the last one and a half year, Termoelectrica had reduced the losses by over 700 million lei; yet, the adjusting of the tariff is dictated by covering the costs. Veaceslav Eni also said that, in 2016, the enterprise registered ”exceptional results.”
The ANRE representatives said the institution’s position would be announced at a subsequent meeting, when the new tariffs will be set.
