Moldovan foreign minister meets president of Hungarian national assembly

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Galbur, during his visit to Budapest, had a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Laszlo Köver today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
There were highlighted interest and mutual willingness to intensify Moldovan – Hungarian cooperation priority areas, at the meeting, including development of inter – parliamentary dialogue through the strategic cooperative partnership between the two Legislative bodies, enshrined within agreement signed in 2012.
The Hungarian speaker reiterated the support of Hungary for Moldova's European course, appreciating the progress achieved in promoting the agenda of priority reforms.
Also, Laszlo Köver reconfirmed the commitment of Hungary to continue supporting Moldova in order to harmonize legislation with EU terms and strengthening the rule of law.
The Hungarian lawmakers are interested in boosting cooperation at the level of foreign policy committees, inter – parliamentary friendship groups, parliamentary committees, particularly in the sectors of agriculture and food industry.
