Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/- The agenda of economic solutions promoted by the government was discussed at a today’s working meeting of the leadership of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM). Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement today.

The premier said that more topical issues had been considered to this end. “I asked the political support for supporting reforms proposed and taken by the government. I informed the colleagues about the latest talks held with the International Monetary Fund and the actions due to be taken further by government and supported by parliament. We discussed the pension reform, indexation and valorization of pensions due to take place on 1 April. An important issue was related to the project “First Home”, which will allow that the first payment for home purchase be lower, the same as the interest for credit”, he said.

The premier pointed out that a special topic was focused on Internet propagation of destructive attitude and suicide among teenagers and young people. “Attention on this issue is one increased. State authorities, the government, are dealing with this issue for many months, perhaps even more than a year. I assure you that all measures are taken as this phenomenon not to grow”, Filip said.

Also, Filip noted that it had been agreed to approve a document on economic development by updating the national development strategy 2020. “A key issue was the central administration reform. Thus, we are going to have political approval to initiate this reform, which has already started in separate items by unifying services”, the premier said.

The actions tackled at the event are part of the reform agenda for 2017-2018.
