Moldovan, Ukrainian officials approach important issues

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today met Ukraine's Special Representative on Transnistrian conflict Valery Jovtenko, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.

The officials exchanged opinions about current issues on the agenda of Transnistrian conflict settlement process. A special attention was paid to developments recently occurred in this context.

The sides highlighted the importance of promoting further negotiations in the 5+2 format and confidence building measures leading to overcoming social-economic difficulties faced by residents of both banks of the Dniestre, identifying comprehensive and sustainable solutions to the Transnistrian problem.
