Over 140 companies from nine countries participate in exhibition of agricultural technology in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ – About 140 companies from Moldova, Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Slovakia and Ukraine participate in the XXXIIth issue of the International Specialized Exhibition of agricultural equipment and technologies Moldagrotech /spring/, which was inaugurated at "Moldexpo" Centre today and lasts till 18 March.
The event is organized by International Exhibition Centre "Moldexpo" in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova.
Attending the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Iurie Usurelu, welcomed the participants and stressed that Moldagrotech project was the largest exhibition dedicated to the agricultural sector. That event takes place twice a year in spring and autumn, at the beginning and end of the agricultural season and includes a broad overview of new agricultural machinery, equipment, most advanced technologies and materials for agro-industrial complex, added the source.
Also, the deputy minister stressed that the Moldovan agriculture modernized and developed and manifested to be proud to notice many visitors to the exhibition, which would see scientists and scientific achievements in the field of agriculture in Moldova.
During the four days, Moldagrotech will also have a business program. So, today, the exhibition will be visited by an official delegation of Astrakhan region, Russian Federation. The delegation will have a series of business meetings with exhibitors and discuss opportunities for cooperation and expansion of trade and economic relations.
In the same period, it will be held Professional contest "Util pentru Moldova" (Useful for Moldova), which enroll 19 Moldovan and foreign companies with 26 samples: agricultural machinery, equipment for processing, plant protection products and fertilizers. Also, traditionally, there will work the Fair of seeds and planting material for visitors.
