Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives Irish ambassador

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received today the Ambassador of Ireland in the Republic of Moldova residing in Bucharest, Derek Feely, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
There were discussed some topical issues on agenda of the Moldovan – Irish dialogue, during the meeting, especially aiming at Ireland assistance in promoting reforms in Moldova. In this context, Deputy Minister Darii noted the importance of Irish financial and technical help to projects in specific areas, such as fighting corruption, improving of business environment, justice reform, education sector etc.
The officials also exchanged opinions on the social and political situation in Moldova, multilateral dialogue and other current regional and international issues.
At his part, Ambassador Feely pointed out the interest in strengthening bilateral political dialogue and reiterated Ireland's willingness to continue supporting Moldova in implementation of the reform agenda, as well as other areas of common interest.
