Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/- The Contravention Code will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova in a reprinted edition, which will include all previous amendments.
The new variant comprises rules of law setting principles and general provisions in contravention, facts considered contraventions and their sanctioning. The code concerns both private people and legal entities.
The new code sees that a conventional unit will be equal to 50 lei. Thus, contravention penalties increased for private people from 150 to 500 conventional units, and for responsible persons and legal entities – from 500 to 1,500 conventional units.
The document also comprises amendments to fines for violation of labor legislation and legislation on safety and health at work, which will be penalized with a fine of 60 to 84 conventional units for private people, from 120 to 210 conventional units for responsible person, and by a fine of 210 to 270 conventional units for legal entities.
Fines for undeclared work, payment of salary or other payments without bookkeeping, illegal business activity and violation of laws and rules in the mandatory health insurance will increase too.
The document enters into force today, 16 March.
