Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets Romanian state secretary

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari, had a meeting with State Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Danut Sebastian Neculaescu today.  

According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, the talks focused on developments in implementation of the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement, promoting political dialogue at Community level, preparations and expectations for the Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017 and developments in internal and foreign policies of the European Union.

The Moldovan deputy minister appreciated the support of Romania given to Moldova's European path. In this context, the interlocutors highlighted the importance of organizing in 2017 a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for European Integration, being an important catalyst of experience capitalization of Romania's accession to the European Union.

At his part, the Romanian State Secretary reaffirmed the desire and determination to help in promoting the alteration of Moldova in the spirit of bilateral strategic partnership, supporting Moldova's aspirations of approaching the union block.

The discussions about prospects of development of the Eastern Partnership highlighted the similarity of views regarding the importance of its efficient and results-oriented opportunities.
