Moldovan, British officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/- Secretary General Anatol Vangheli received today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Lucy Joyce, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.

The sides exchanged views on the main topics of the bilateral political dialogue agenda, on the internal developments in the country and, on the prospects for boosting Moldovan-British relations in various fields of common interest.

The Secretary General expressed gratitude for the constant and firm support offered to Moldova by the British Government in implementing internal reforms to modernize our country. He addressed the importance of assistance projects in areas such as fighting corruption, improving the business environment, justice and banking sector reforms, strengthening public administration, and expressed hope that they will continue in the future.

In turn, the British Ambassador reiterated the support for Moldova's European path, expressing his government's willingness to further deepen cooperation with our country in areas of mutual interest.
