Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets representatives of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari has met members of a delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, visiting Moldova on 20-22 March, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
Morari informed about the latest developments in implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, as well as reform priorities for next period.
Also, the sides discussed the current situation in the Transnistrian conflict and confirmed the importance of its settlement by respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova, granting a special legal status to the Transnistrian region. In this context, they welcomed the priorities of OSCE Austrian presidency for 2017 and underlined the special role of OSCE in facilitating implementation of the goals agreed in the negotiations in the 5+2 format.
Referring to cooperation with OSCE and its specialized institutions, Morari has reviewed the results achieved with their support. It was mentioned approval by the government of the strategy on strengthening interethnic relations for 2017-2027 and adoption by parliament of political declaration on acceptance of report of the International Commission, chaired by Elie Wiesel on study of Holocaust.
