Moldova to take effort to become eligible for Compact II Programme

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/- Visiting the USA, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur has met Acting Vice President at Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Thomas Kelly. They discussed cooperation between the Moldovan government and MCC, and assessment of implementing Compact I Programme, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.

Galbur pointed out the Moldovan authorities’ determination to take efforts to improve indicators of performance of MCC in order to get eligibility for Compact II Programme.

In this context, Thomas Kelly thanked Galbur for presenting pragmatically the goals and exposing the expectations from strategic partners.

Kelly highlighted the full support of the corporation for carrying out the priorities set by the current government and continuing the reforms, which will help meet the goals on national development, ensure the welfare of citizens and increase the confidence of international donors.
