Moldovan deputy premier meets OSCE Mission head

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan received the Ambassador Michael Scanlan, Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova today, the office for reintegration policies’ press service has reported.
The sides mostly discussed the present situation in the negotiation process for Transnistrian settlement, the achieved results in sectoral working groups, the priority activities for further period and perspectives of resuming the format "5+2" negotiations, during the meeting.
In the context, Gheorghe Balan reiterated the political openness of the Moldovan authorities to boost and deepen the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol to solve the problems faced by population on both banks of the Dniester, including the necessary provision of improved conditions for functioning of schools with teaching Latin script in Transnistria, removing artificial barriers to free movement of people, goods and services, unlocking access of Dubasari farmers to agricultural lands, placed beyond the Tiraspol-Ribnita road.
The interlocutors discussed some other relevant issues within the negotiations.
