Monument to Holocaust victims to be set in southern city of Moldova

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ – The government today approved a decision according to which on the place of former ghetto, which existed in Cahul during the Second World War, it will be built a monument in memory of victims of Holocaust.
The initiative belongs to Cahul City Council which was supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Cabinet of Ministers.
The expenses for the design, building of the monument and related complex land engineering works will be covered by financial resources from the account of Jews’ Association of Moldova – former prisoners of Nazism and Jewish Charity Center "HASAD IEGUDA".
