Moldovan deputy premier meets members of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's Group for Moldova

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today received a delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Group for Moldova, led by Group’s President Arta Dade, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The Moldovan official informed the delegation members about the latest developments in the Transnistrian settlement process, including the actions undertaken by the Moldovan authorities to identify viable solutions to problems faced by the residents from the left bank of Dniester.
The deputy prime minister also referred to priority subjects on the agenda of the Transnistrian settlement: removing the barriers to the free movement of persons, goods and services between the two banks of Dniester; ensuring conditions for the work of the Latin-script schools from the Transnistrian region; opening of a bridge across the Dniester river between the settlement Gura Bicului and Bicioc, as well as working out of a special legal status of the Transnistrian region within the five-plus-two format of talks, in conditions of ensuring Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President of the OSCE PA’s Group for Moldova Arta Dade encouraged the authorities to press ahead with the reforms underway, so that their results are felt by all citizens, including the ones from the Transnistrian region.
The European MPs gave assurances that they would further provide the needed political support for the Transnistrian problem settlement, with the observance of Moldova’s territorial integrity.
