Consultations with civil society on new Association Agenda Moldova-EU held at ministry

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- Consultations with civil society representatives were held at the Foreign and European Integration Ministry on 22 March. They were dedicated to the provisions of the new Association Agenda Moldova-EU for 2017-2019.
According to the MAEIE’s information and media relations service, the meeting led by Deputy Minister Daniela Morari was focused on considering proposals set by the EU and discussed with national authorities representatives in the context of negotiations due to be held in Chisinau today.
The new Association Agenda will establish a set of priorities agreed jointly with EU for 2017-2019 meant to contribute to implementing the Association Agreement, including chapters on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. The agenda comprises political elements, reformation and consolidation of democratic institutions, rule of law, independence of justice, respect for human rights, cooperation in foreign policy and security, as well as peaceful settlement of conflicts, cooperation in justice, freedom and security, as well as economic issues, including sectoral cooperation in energy, transport, employment and social protection.
