Moldovan deputy premier attends ministerial meeting of Global Coalition on combating Islamic State

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to the United States on 20-23 March, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur accepted the invitation of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to attend a ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition on combating the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIL), the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
The participants in the event exchanged opinions about the efforts taken to combat terrorism representing a real challenge and threat to security in the world. The heads of delegations also pointed out the main achievements got by the coalition in fight against ISIL, opting for boosting the cooperation to prevent extremism and radicalism, as well as to counteract the terrorist organization ISIL.
Galbur expressed support for the efforts of the Global Coalition on combating Islamic State, and noted the importance of ensuring political-military and social-economic security in the regions affected by terrorist actions.
A declaration of the coalition was adopted at the end of the meeting. It stipulated the support of the sides for strengthening efforts to combat ISIL terrorist organization.
