Moldovan official journal roundup for 24 March

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- Decision of the Administration Council of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) on updating tariffs for electricity and heating services will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 24 March.

According to the 17 March decision, the tariff for electricity provided by Gas Natural Fenosa is 199 bani/kWh for household consumers and respectively 182 bani/kWh for consumers whose installations are connected to the electrical networks for medium voltage (6-10). The people of area served by RED Nord will pay a price of 212 bani/kWh and economic agents – 184 bani/kWh, and end consumers whose installations are connected to RED Nord-Vest networks will pay 225 bani and 201 bani/kWh.

The rate of thermal energy delivered to consumers by Termoelectrica was set at 1,122 lei per Gcal and by CET Nord – 1,220 lei.

The tariff for energy supplied to the population by Gas Natural Fenosa increased by 3.6 per cent, while the provider had requested an increase by 12.7 per cent, including by 17.7 per cent for people.

Rates for electricity supplied to the people by the company Nord Electricity for the North and Northwest regions increased by 3.9 and respectively 5.1 per cent. Electricity supplier in northern Moldova asked an increase by 9.9 per cent in rates for energy to the people in the area served by RED Nord and 6.27 per cent for customers RED Nord-Vest.

The ANRE council has partially accepted the request by Termoelectrica, which required a 6- per cent increase in the tariff of heat delivery to the end consumer, but obtained a 5- per cent-increase. ANRE approved an increase by 15.5 per cent in tariff for thermal energy delivered to consumers by CET Nord, which had asked a 23-per cent-increase.

The new tariffs for electricity will enter into force upon the publication in the Official Journal, and rates for thermal energy will come into force on 1 May 2017 and will be applied next season.
