Moldovan wines appreciated at specialized exhibition in China

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - More wine-making companies from Moldova participate in a specialized exhibition, China Food and Drink Fair 2017, staged in the city of Chengdu, China, on 23-25 March.
According to the press service of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry, on the first day of the exhibition, visitors tasted those 180 types of wines and cognacs presented by 24 Moldovan companies. Both the importers and Chinese distributors showed interest in the Moldovan goods. Wine-makers of Moldova managed to establish about 350 new business contracts for future orders and cooperation.
China is one of the target markets for Moldova’s wines, a market on which a constant increase of exports is recorded. In 2015, Moldova exported 1.2 million litres of wines to China, up by 104 per cent against 2014.
Set up in 1955, China Food and Drink Fair is the most important fair in China, Each spring and autumn, the event brings together about 3,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and more than 300,000 visitors on an area of over 128,000 square metres.
