Moldova, Austria marks 25 years of diplomatic relations

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, addressed a message of congratulations to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Austria, Sebastian Kurz, in the context of celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Austria, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Minister Andrei Galbur appreciated those 25 years of cooperation between Moldova and Austria as consistent so fruitful further confirmed by the recent visit of Minister Kurz in Chisinau. The official highlighted the importance of the development assistance from Austria, the efforts to modernize and strengthen Moldova on its European path and also finding a lasting and viable solution of settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
Also, the Moldovan official expressed confidence that the opening of the Austrian Embassy in Chisinau will lead to a higher progress of bilateral relations and friendship between Moldova and Austria.
Moldova established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Austria on 25 March 1992. There will be formal launch of the stamp, seal with special obliteration on envelope, issued with this occasion by Posta Moldovei (Post of Moldova).
