Moldova ICT Summit 2017 to be held on 30 March

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/- Over 600 delegations from many countries announced participation in Moldova ICT Summit 2017, due on 30 March. The event is considered the most important forum in Moldova in information technology and communications.
“This year, Moldova ICT Summit will be held in a new format, with its own headquarters Tekwill Centre. The event is scheduled for one day having a full agenda. We want the summit to remain a productive collaboration platform between IT sector, government, business community, development partners and civil society”, Deputy Information Technology and Communications Minister Vitalie Tarlev said today.
The official said that Moldova ICT Summit 2017 would focus on development of competitiveness in ICT sector, promotion of IT entrepreneurship and proliferation of innovation. According to the agenda, this year’s edition of the summit will focus on three directions of interest: ICT4Development, ICT4Startups, ICT4Education.
The first one is organized in partnership with the Information technology and Communications Ministry and will present the view on IT industry development and government intervention in this regard. ICT4Startups will assess global trends in IT entrepreneurship, products at international level and launching successful startups. Accordingly, ICT4Education session will be dedicated to innovations in the field of ICT in education.
Moldova ICT Summit 2017 is organized by National Association of ICT companies under the Information Technology and Communications Ministry supported by the US Agency for International Development, Swedish government through the Swedish Agency for International Development, Austrian Development Agency together with several partners.
