Moldovan foreign ministry provides info on explosions in Saint-Petersburg, Russia

Chisinau, 03 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration notes that, according to preliminary data 10 people died and 50 were injured, in two powerful explosions produced at two metro stations: Institute of Technology and Sennaya Square in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation at around 14.30 today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Currently, all Russian competent authorities’ actions are directed, primarily, to provide the necessary assistance to victims, identifying their nationality and elucidate the causes of explosions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, through the Moldovan Embassy in Russian Federation, is monitoring the developments and keep in touch with the local authorities of Russia to establish whether among the victims are citizens of Moldova and, where appropriate, grant necessary consular assistance.
