Moldovan PM takes attitude towards holidays of children under school age, pupils

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, at a today’s cabinet meeting, asked the Education Ministry to revise the amendments to the regulation on the work of pre-school institutions as for the holidays for children, in kindergartens and crèches on the summer period.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the prime minister said that this subject should be discussed with the local administrations and parents, in order to find reasonable solutions, so that kindergartens could be sanitized during summer, as well as children could be supervised. “My request is that, before talking a final decision, inspectors should leave their offices and discuss with local authorities, parents, so that a common mind be reached.” Pavel Filip said.  

At the same time, the PM warned the Education Ministry about the de-synchronization of the autumn and spring holidays of the pupils of the I-IV forms with the holidays of the pupils of the V-XII forms. In the context, the prime minister demanded revision of the calendar of holidays for the next school year.
