Over 150 companies attend international exhibition of tourism in Chisinau

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- Over 150 companies from Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine participate in an international specialized exhibition of tourism, leisure and hotels - TOURISM. LEISURE. HOTELS, 22nd issue, which will last till 9 April.

Attending the event, Director General of Travel Agency Stanislav Rusu said that the country had become more attractive over the past years for visitors. Thus, in 2016 their number exceeded 3.4 million people.

For the first time, the Tourism Festival will be held this year’s edition, which is dedicated to traditions, culture, cuisine and vacations. Here visitors are expected with national dances, folk music, cuisine from countries which representatives will attend the festival.

Also, a festival of rural tourism “Satul Meu - Destinaţie turistică” (My village – tourist destination) will be organized during the four days. Winners will be awarded special prizes for best promotion of tourist potential.

The exhibition is organized at the Moldexpo centre in collaboration with the Travel Agency of Moldova.
