Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- An ordinary meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) chaired by the Transnistrian delegation was held in Bender on 6 April, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The Moldovan delegation’s arguments and proposals on the working agenda of the commission firstly as regards the mechanism to monitor the situation the Security Zone were not accepted by Transnistrian representatives showing an unconstructive position.
“This ostentatious and provocative position could be seen in the 5 April interview given by leader of the Transnistrian delegation Oleg Beleakov to foreign correspondents, who said that “currently there is no guarantee that it will not repeat what was held in 1992”, a press release by the Bureau for Reintegration reads.
In the context, Moldovan representatives in JCC noted that the delegation of Tiraspol was sabotaging the previous commitments leading to obvious tension of the situation in the Security Zone.
Talks on most topical issues were transferred to the next meeting due on 13 April 2017.
