Moldovan parliament speaker sends letter of sympathy, solidarity with Swedish nation

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today sent a letter of sympathy and solidarity with the Swedish people to his counterpart Urban Ahlin, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
“I was deeply grieved to learn about the tragedy which occurred in Ahlens Mall in Drottninggatan, the central park of Stockholm, on 7 April, taking three innocent lives and wounding more people.
On behalf of the colleagues from Moldova’s parliament and on my own behalf, I convey you and the entire Swedish people deep sympathy. We are by the side of the families, relatives and friends of those who died. In these moments of sorrow and grief, I want to wish power and courage to the families of the victims and the nation of the Kingdom of Sweden.
Please, convey sincere condolences to the mourning families,” reads the letter signed by the parliament speaker.
A truck hit a group of pedestrians in a circulated area from the centre of Stockholm city and stopped into a shop. At least three people were killed and numerous other ones were injured. Also, shots were fired in an underground station from Stockholm shortly after the truck’s attack.
