Moldova to participate in meeting of committee of UN Economic Commission for Europe

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan will lead the Moldovan delegation to participate at the third session of the Standards and Trade Capacities of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations, with headquarters in Geneva, on 11 – 12 April 2017.
According to the office for reintegration policies’ press service, the meeting will analyze the latest developments in removing procedural barriers and trade regulatory throughout Moldova.
Moldovan delegation consists of representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Customs Service, National Agency for Food Safety, National Institute of Standards and the National Accreditation Centre.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan has scheduled meetings with officials of the Government of Switzerland, representatives of international organizations, like: the World Trade Organization, United Nations, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and meetings with Moldovan Diaspora in Switzerland.
The UN Economic Commission for Europe is an intergovernmental organization composed of 56 member states, based in Geneva, assisting national governments in the integration of local economies into the world economy, with involvement of development partners.
