New Development Assistance Framework between Moldova, UNDP to be signed in near future

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today received United Nations Resident Coordinator, Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Moldova Dafina Gherceva, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials discussed the new Development Assistance Framework in Moldova for 2018-2022, due to be signed in the near future. Deputy Minister Lilian Darii expressed confidence that this document would essentially contribute to carrying out the strategies and documents on development of Moldova, as well as to implementing the international commitments taken by the country.
Also, the officials reviewed the actions carried out under the aegis of the National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development, in the context of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the process of nationalizing the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the same time, Deputy Minister Lilian Darii thanked the UN official for the support provided to implement measures to strengthen the trust between the residents from the two banks of Dniester. He gave assurances that Moldova’s authorities would further cooperation with UNDP to carry out projects of common interest.
