Moldovan foreign minister participates in inauguration of meeting in EU's Security and Defence Policy sector

Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today participated in the inauguration of a course of reflection in EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy sector (CSDP), the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) information and media communication service has reported.
This course represents the third module within trainings in the CSDP field and the second one held in Chisinau. It was organized by MAEIE and the Defence Ministry, in partnership with the EU’s European Security and Defence College and EU’s European External Action Service, as well as with the support of the Austrian Defence and Sports Ministry and Lithuanian National Defence Ministry.
The head of the Moldovan diplomacy stressed the importance of cooperation with the European Union in the security and defence sector, in the context of the rapprochement of the relations between Moldova and EU, including within the platform of discussions and analyses provided by CSDP.
Minister Andrei Galbur highlighted Moldova’s receptiveness to participate in EU’s crisis management missions, which contribute including to strengthening the country’s institutional capacities in the security and defence field.
On the sidelines of the seminar, due on 18-21 April, a meeting of the alumni of the training courses in the CSDP sector will be organized, due will bring together over 60 representatives of the Moldovan authorities from the security and defence sector.
