Moldovan government organizes contest on judge position at top court

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- On 20-27 April the government is holding a contest for judge position at the Constitutional Court. It became vacant on 14 April with the expiration of the term of judge office of the Constitutional Court of one of the two members appointed by the government, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The conduct of the contest and the activity of the selection committee are set in the provisions of the Constitution, Law on Constitutional Court and Regulation on organization and conduct of the contest for appointing judge at the Constitutional Court by the government, approved by Executive Order of 14 April 2017.
Among the conditions and requirements for candidates are: good reputation, knowledge in national legal system and international law, as well as experience in the legal field.
The file sealed in the envelope is submitted personally at the State Chancellery headquarters. The files are received starting from 20 April 2017, 11:00, till 27 April at 17:00. Incomplete documents or submitted after expiration of deadline will not be considered.
