Temporary administrators’ mandates of Moldovan bank prolonged

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Executive Board of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) decided at its meeting, on 14 April 2017, to extend mandates of the temporary administrators of BC "Moldindconbank" S.A. for three months, the BNM’s press service has informed.

The temporary administrators have exercised their mandate during the early intervention at BC "Moldindconbank" S.A., which was established on 20 October 2016, after BNM established the concerted activity of a group of persons holding a substantial share in the bank's share capital, in the amount of 63.89 per cent, without the permission of the National Bank of Moldova.

According to the BNM’s press release, "Moldindconbank" operates on a normal basis and provides all services, including those related to deposits, lending and settlement operations.
