Chisinau municipal council to earmark 20 million lei to liquidate consequences of snow

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/- The Chisinau municipal council today decided to earmark 20 million lei for liquidating the consequences of natural disasters of 20-21 April.

Under the decision, the municipal services will provide transport and staff for the evacuation of branches and wood. The wood will be distributed primarily to the beneficiaries of home heating compensation.

Also, it was decided that the Chisinau city hall should ask the Moldovan government for the financial support.

According to data given by Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, over 150 apartments, 43 educational institutions and more than 10,000 trees and about 100 pillars have been affected due to bad weather of the last days.
