Moldovan cabinet approves regulation on work of State Tax Service

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ – Commencing 01 April 2017, the State Tax Service (SFS) was reorganized, including 35 State Tax Inspectorates and acts as a single legal unit responsible for Moldova's tax administration. As such, at today meeting, the Executive approved the Regulation on the SFS’s organization and functioning, which is an administrative authority subordinated to the Financial Ministry, empowered to administer taxes, duties and other payments in the interests of the state, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Some of the basic SFS’s duties are: of the management system organizing in tax administration, tax collecting, taxes and other revenues to the national public budget, prevention of tax violations, including tax evasion, fiscal control and appeals examining.
The SFS will be headed by a director and four deputy ones. Also, in order to examine the most pressing issues and to find the optimal solutions for their solving, the Executive Council will be established within the SEF, a decision-making collegial body. The actual SFS’s staff limit will consist 1892 workers, the same number of persons working in the united institutions.
