Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Government decided at its today meeting to set up the Public Services Agency. However, it is used Single-desk principle to offer public services and ensure their digitization, including the streamlining of the operational processes and the reduction of costs incurred by the citizens, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
According to the Executive’s Decision, the State Company "Centrul Resurselor Informaționale de Stat" (State Information Resources Centre) Registru "is reorganized by transformation into the Public Institution "Agenția Servicii Publice" (Public Services Agency), to be to Government’s subordination. Also, the new body will enter through the merger of the "Camera Inregistrarii de Stat" (State Chamber of Registration), "Cadastru" State Enterprise, Serviciu Stare Civila (Civil Status Service) subordinated to Justice Ministry and the Licensing Chamber subordinated to Economy Ministry.
Following the unification of public service providers, tariffs for the services provided will be reduced. Similarly, the Agency will ensure the modernization of the public services, facilitate the access of the population to them and increase the efficiency of the dialogue between authorities and population.
In the context, the Premier highlighted several important issues: "Our effort is not only to bring the services into Single-desk, we want to change the processes. The number of public services provided to citizens should be less. All info is in state registers, certificates can be made without the citizen's involvement. Mostly, we all talk about fighting bureaucracy and corruption, the real battle is being done through such actions. It is a direct blow to bureaucracy and corruption," said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
The Public Services Agency was created in accordance with the provisions of the Public Administration Reform and the Action Plan on the Public Service Reform Modernization for 2017-2021.
