Premier of Moldova, ambassador of Turkey discuss prospects of Moldovan-Turkish partnership

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Hulusi Kiliç. The officials touched upon possibilities of deepening the bilateral cooperation, including in the context of a visit to Moldova due to be paid by Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM said that he appreciated much the relations between the two states, stressing Turkey’s contribution to Moldova’s modernization. “Many Turkish business people place their investments in Moldova. Practically the most important objects, among which the Airport, one of the biggest hotels, one of the most performant private clinics, were constructed by Turkish investors,” the prime minister noted.
For his part, Ambassador Hulusi Kiliç said that he spoke out for boosting the cooperation between the two states. As for the visit to Moldova by the Turkish prime minister, due in early next May, the sides spoke about the signing, within the visit, of more agreements in the social protection sector, on the opening of a trade office in Istanbul, inauguration of a Turkish cultural centre in Moldova.
The officials also referred to the consequences of the last week heavy snowfall. In the context, the ambassador of Turkey said that both Turkish economic agents and the authorities of Turkey had been urged to make donations to remove the consequences of the bad weather.
