National anticorruption centre detains Moldovan transports minister

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Minister of Transports and Road Infrastructure (MTID), Iurie Chirinciuc, was detained for 72 hours by the officers of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) today.
According to the CNA’s public relations service, the minister was escorted to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s office this afternoon where is heard by the men of law in a corruption file.
Also today, there was detained and escorted to CNA Veaceslav Teleman, Interim Head of the State Road Administration.
Similarly, two businessmen were detained and heard by the lawyers within the same file: head of SRL Noucost and administrator of SRL Global Trans Construct.
This morning, the CNA officers carried out searches in the offices and homes of several the MTID officials and the headquarters of the State Road Administration.
