Moldovan capital's sanitation underway

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ – As a result of the public appeal evoked by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, at 05 a.m. today in Chisinau, the teams organized for the liquidation of the consequences of the heavy snowfall from 20 – 21 April began their works, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The street sanitation operation began in 25 areas of five Chisinau sectors, by tree cutting and cleaning. Over 3,000 people: military, carabineers, rescuers, policemen, economic agents and citizens participated in the cleaning of Chisinau.

The coerced forces loaded more than 1,000 trees with tree debris for transporting them to special locations by 17.00. A particular importance is attached to social constructions such as schools, hospitals and kindergartens as to ensure access to them.

The Chisinau street and courtyard cleanings will last for two days and, in case of necessity, it will be continued till next week. Some road portions will be temporarily closed. As a result, the patrol police agents will streamline road traffic by redirecting car torrents to adjacent streets.
