Moldova's band to perform 12th in Eurovision contest's semifinal

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - The most expected musical event of the year, Eurovision Song Contest, will start in Kiev on 9 May. Moldova’s band SunStroke Project will perform with the number 12 in the first semifinal on the Kiev stage with the song, Hey Mamma!
According to the contest’s official website, 18 countries will perform in the first semifinal and Moldova will be the 12th. The band SunStroke Project will fight for a place in the final with participants from Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Georgia, Poland, as well as from other countries. The second semifinal will take place on 11 May, when Romania’s representatives will perform with the number 6.
Russia will not participate in Eurovision this year, as its representative was denied access to Ukraine. Thus, 42 countries will compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Betting houses nominated the representative of Italy, Francesco Gabbani with the song Occidentali’s Karma as the favourite for winning the trophy.
Forty two 42 countries, who compete in the semifinals from 9 and 11 May, will participate in the 2017 issue of the Eurovision contest. The great final will take place on 13 May.
