Moldovan speaker attends celebration of Ialoveni district

Chisinau, 1 May /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu participated in a ceremony dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Ialoveni district formation. The event brought together representatives of the central and local authorities from Moldova and Romania, famous personalities, culture people, guests and residents of the district, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
“I am overwhelmed by emotions, including because I returned home, to my father’s home, who was born in Vasieni village, Ialoveni”, he said. Candu talked about the places of attraction in the district, such as: Milestii Mici cellars, Bardar tulips, spanning several dozen hectares, folklore from Valea Botnei, craftsmen from Vasieni and Ialoveni. “You are among the few districts with economic and demographic growth, and this is due to industrious and talented people of the district”, he said.
A review of the achievements of the 40 years was offered by head of Ialoveni district Anatolie Dumitriu. At the same time, congratulatory messages were conveyed by MP Vladimir Cernat, Culture Minister Monica Babuc, Romanian senator Adrian Tutuianu etc.
The event was completed with clothing parade, exhibitions, launch of the album “Ialoveni district – 40 years” and a musical show. A cooperation agreement was signed between Ialoveni district and Ilfov county, Romania, and several natives were awarded diplomas and gifts.
Ialoveni district includes a city and 33 villages.
