Moldova's honorary consulate to be inaugurated in Dublin

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - Secretary General of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) Anatol Vangheli pays a working visit to Dublin, Ireland, on 1-4 May. Within the visit, the Moldovan official had a meeting with Secretary General of the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Niall Burgess, the MAEIE information and media communication service has reported. 

At the meeting, the two officials discussed prospects of the Moldova-Ireland relations through the light of deepening of the political dialogue and backing the country’s European integration, with emphasis on boosting the commercial and economic ties and strengthening the bilateral legal framework. Also, the sides tackled aspects of the organization, work, management and systemic administration of the foreign ministries.   

Anatol Vangheli evoked the dynamic of the bilateral relations and thanked for the support provided by Ireland to implement reforms in Moldova, in the sector of European integration and carrying out of different projects for the country’s development in diverse fields of national interest.  

Niall Burgess reconfirmed Ireland’s support for Moldova’s European integration and expressed interest in the development of the bilateral ascendant relations. Burgess appreciated the fostering of the Moldovan-Irish political dialogue, highlighting including a recent visit to Ireland by Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu in last February.  

The agenda of the visit by Secretary General Vangheli includes also the official inauguration of Moldova’s honorific consulate in Dublin, discussions with honorific consul Gerald Kean and a meeting with the Moldovan Diaspora.
