Moldovan foreign ministry's secretary-general attends inauguration of Honorary Consulate in Dublin

Chisinau,3 May /MOLDPRES/- On 2nd of May 2017, Secretary-General Anatol Vangheli participated in the inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Dublin, Ireland. The named Honorary Consul is Mr. Gerald Keen, an experienced lawyer and a well known businessman.
In his intervention, the Secretary-General highlighted the importance given by the Republic of Moldova to bilateral and multilateral relations with Ireland that actively supports our country’s European integration path. Mr. Vangheli expressed his conviction that the new Honorary Consul Gerald Kean will contribute to the intensification of the bilateral relations, in particular trade and economic cooperation, will facilitate the strengthening of inter-cultural and people to people contacts and, promote in other fields of interest the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Ireland.
Honorary Consul, Gerald Keen expressed his confidence gratitude and stated the activity priorities of the Consulate, including the necessary assistance to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, intensification of the different level bilateral contacts, especially trade cooperation development, and as well as the promotion of Moldova’s image in Ireland.
The inauguration event was attended by Secretary-General of the Irish Foreign Ministry Niall Burgess, other Irish officials, and representatives of the business environment and Moldovan Diaspora in Ireland.
Currently, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Dublin is the only one in Ireland.
